SBI ATM PIN Generation Online with Pictures [2023]

Whether you have opened a new State Bank of India (SBI) account..!! (or)
In case your existing SBI ATM Debit card has expired, then, you will have to generate your PIN number through your ATM debit card.

In this article, I am trying to tell you about “SBI ATM Pin generation” in a very simple & easy way.

In the below image, you can see my new SBI debit card. To change the ATM PIN of this debit card I came to the nearby ATM center. So, let me show you how to do this whole process.

Let’s begin..!!

Step 1:

Firstly, Insert your new SBI ATM debit card into the ATM machine on the right side. Before you insert it, ensure that a light is blinking which means that the ATM machine is ready to initiate your transaction through the SBI ATM Debit card.

Step 2:

After inserting it, a message will be displayed on the screen, “Hi, Please do not remove your Chip card. Leave your Card inserted during the entire Transaction”.

So, you don’t remove your ATM debit card until the entire transaction is complete.

Step 3:

After that, you have to select “Language”.
For that, You will get 3 options like
1. English
2. Hindi
3. Telugu (Any Local language)

You select “English” language

Step 4:

Now, you will be asked to “Select your transaction”. To deposit the additional or extra cash, select the “PIN Generation” option.

Step 5:

As soon as you select that, you will be asked to “Enter your account number” for which you want to generate the PIN number.

Now, Enter the 11-Digit State Bank of India (SBI) Account number of the ATM Debit card you have inserted. If the entered account number is correct, then, Tap on the option “Press if correct”.

Step 6:

After that, you have to enter your 10-Digit Mobile number which was linked to your new ATM debit card. Also, If the entered Mobile number is correct, then, Tap on the “Press if correct” option.

Once you press that, you will get a display saying that the “Process is being processed” and immediately you will see a yellow screen saying that the “Transaction is complete”.

Alongside, you will also get a slip from the left side of the ATM machine.

The generated slip mentions that the new ATM Debit Card PIN generation request has been received by the Bank, so you will receive a 4-digit One-time OTP (in Words) on your registered mobile via SMS within a short time.

Now, you will be asked to change the PIN through an ATM within 24 hours of OTP generation.

Also, the ATM requests you to remove your card. So, remove your SBI ATM Debit card from the ATM Machine.

Step 7:

Now your registered mobile will receive a PIN within seconds. In that SMS, you can see One-time OTP in words.
Now you have to use this OTP to generate your new PIN.

Step 8:

To generate a New PIN, you have to insert your ATM debit card again in the ATM machine as shown so far & immediately after inserting it, you have to repeat the previous process again.

Step 9:

After inserting your Debit card, a message will be displayed on the screen, “Hi, Please do not remove your Chip card. Leave your Card inserted during the entire Transaction”. So, you should not remove your debit card until the entire transaction is complete.

Step 10:

After that, you have to select “Language”.
For that, You will get 3 options like
1. English
2. Hindi
3. Telugu (Any Local language)

You select “English” language

Step 11:

Now, you will be asked to “Select your transaction”. To deposit the additional or extra cash, select the “Banking” option.

Step 12:

Now you can see multiple options, in that, you tap on the option of “Pin Change” at the bottom of the right side.

Step 13:

Now, you will have to give a random 2-digit number between 10-99. It doesn’t matter which number you choose.
So, enter a 2-digit number randomly Eg: 31,22,78, etc.,

Enter it and press the “Yes” button.

Step 14:

After you enter it, you will see here “Please enter your current PIN”. Now, you have a 4-digit One-time PIN which has received earlier on your mobile (In Words) from the State Bank of India.

Later on, you will get an option to “Enter your New ATM PIN”. Now, enter your New 4-Digit ATM PIN as desired & also Re-enter your new PIN.

After that, a message will be displayed that says “Transaction being processed”. Just wait and you can see a message on the ATM screen that “Transaction Complete”.

So, you successfully completed SBI ATM PIN generation process.

Step 15:

Now a message will be displayed asking you to remove your SBI ATM debit card from the ATM machine.
